Urobag

A urobag, short for “urine collection bag,” is a medical device used to collect and store urine from a patient’s bladder. It typically consists of a plastic bag with a valve or port for urine entry, a drainage tube, and a hook or strap for attaching it to a bed or wheelchair. Urobags are commonly employed in healthcare settings, especially in cases where patients are unable to urinate naturally or need continuous monitoring of urine output. They are also used during post-operative recovery and in conditions such as urinary incontinence or urinary retention. The collected urine can be analyzed for various medical purposes, including diagnosing and monitoring urinary tract conditions.
